RULES
The Hospitality Cup follows Over-35s competition rules, with a few small adjustments to suit the tournament format and keep games safe, fast-paced, and enjoyable for everyone.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask the organisers or referees on the day.

Limited Contact Rule
The Hospitality Cup is played with limited physical contact. Player safety is the priority at all times.
Rough play includes:

Slide tackles
-
Tackling from behind
-
Aggressive shoulder charges
-
Any action that, in the referee’s opinion, places another player at risk
Referees have full authority to stop play and apply disciplinary action when necessary.

Game Duration

Each game consists of 2 halves of 7 minutes
-
2-minute half-time break
-
Timekeeping is strict, with no stoppage time unless exceptional circumstances occur.

Substitutions

Unlimited substitutions are allowed

Substitutions must occur when play is stopped

The exiting player must leave the field before the substitute enters

Goal Kicks
Goal kicks must be taken with the foot and may be taken from anywhere inside the penalty box.

Footwear
Allowed footwear:

Astro turf shoes
-
Small molded studs
-
Regular trainers
Shin guards are recommended.

Penalty Area

Players may enter the penalty area

Goalkeepers may leave the area but cannot handle the ball outside of it

Scoring System

Win = 3 points
-
Draw = 1 point

Loss = 0 points

Goal difference
-
Penalty shootout

Disciplinary Action
Aggressive behaviour will not be tolerated and may result in:

Yellow/red cards
-
Removal from the game
-
Disqualification from the tournament
